1 Fuel Fields in Flight Log

When creating a flight log at /flight-ops/log-book/new, the Landings & Fuel section contains four optional fuel/oil fields. All quantities are in litres.

Field	Required	Description
Fuel Uplift (Ltrs)	No	Fuel quantity loaded before departure. Enter the amount added at the fuel stop.
Fuel Remaining (Ltrs)	No	Fuel remaining in tanks after arrival. Used to compute consumption.

Fuel consumption for a flight = Fuel Uplift − (Fuel Remaining − Previous Remaining). Recording both uplift and remaining consistently enables accurate consumption analysis across the fleet.

2 Oil Fields in Flight Log

Field	Required	Description
Oil Uplift (Ltrs)	No	Oil quantity added before the flight.
Oil Remaining (Ltrs)	No	Oil remaining after the flight.

Abnormal oil consumption can indicate engine wear, seal degradation, or other mechanical issues. Monitor oil consumption trends using the Oil Consumption chart at /camo/graphs/oil-consumption. Investigate sudden increases immediately.

Fuel & Oil Register

3 View the Register

Navigate to Registers → Fuel & Oil Register at /camo/registers/fuel-oil. This read-only register compiles fuel and oil data from all approved flight logs:

Column	Description
Flight Log No	Reference to the source flight log.
Aircraft	Registration mark.
Date	Flight date.
Route	Departure → Arrival.
Air Time	Flying hours for the sector.
Fuel Uplift	Fuel loaded (litres).
Fuel Remaining	Fuel remaining (litres).
Oil Uplift	Oil loaded (litres).
Oil Remaining	Oil remaining (litres).

4 Consumption Calculation

AeroTrack computes fuel consumption per flight hour using the register data. Key metrics for monitoring:

Metric	Formula	Use
Fuel Burn per Hour	Total fuel consumed ÷ Air Time	Compare against aircraft type spec.
Oil Consumption Rate	Oil consumed per flight hour	Flag engines exceeding limits.
Monthly Total	Sum of all fuel uplifts in a month	Budget and procurement planning.

Use the CAMO Reports at /camo/reports/fuel-consumption for a printable PDF summary of fuel consumption by aircraft and time period.

Analytics & Monitoring

5 Fuel Consumption Report

Navigate to CAMO Reports → Fuel Consumption at /camo/reports/fuel-consumption for a structured report showing fuel usage by aircraft, route, and time period. The report can be printed or exported as PDF.

By Aircraft	Per-aircraft fuel consumption and burn rate comparison.
By Period	Monthly fuel consumption trend data.

6 Oil Consumption Chart

Navigate to CAMO Graphs → Oil Consumption at /camo/graphs/oil-consumption for an interactive chart showing oil consumption trends over time. The chart highlights engines with increasing consumption patterns.

Chart Feature	Description
Trend Line	Oil consumption per flight hour over time.
Aircraft Filter	View data for a specific aircraft.
Threshold	Visual marker for manufacturer oil consumption limits.

DGCA and OEM guidelines specify maximum oil consumption rates per engine type. A sustained increase in oil consumption may require engine inspection, borescope review, or early overhaul. Flag and investigate any upward trends immediately.
