Navigate to Maintenance → Tools Checkin or go to /maintenance/tools-checkin.

Create a Checkin
3Checkin Header
Click + New Checkin to open the form.

| Checkout Reference | Yes | Select the original TCO (only “Issued” checkouts appear). |
| Return Date | Yes | Defaults to today. |
| Returned By | Yes | Name of the person returning (auto-filled from TCO). |
| Remarks | No | General return notes. |
When you select a checkout, all issued tool items are automatically populated in the return items table below.
4Return Items
Review each tool and record its return condition.

| Quantity Returned | Yes | Must not exceed quantity checked out. |
| Return Condition | Yes | Good, Fair, or Damaged. |
| Remarks | No | Per-item notes (e.g. damage description). |
Tools returned in Damaged condition are flagged for repair. Compare checkout condition vs return condition to identify tools damaged during use.
5Submit
Click Create Checkin. The checkin is created in Opened status. Once verified, accept the return to update the checkout status to Returned.

Accepting a checkin automatically updates the linked checkout to Returned status.
