ATA Chapters

Manage the ATA 100 chapter numbering system used to categorise aircraft systems, components, task cards, and maintenance records across AeroTrack.

1 Open the ATA Chapters List

Navigate to CAMO → ATA Chapters in the sidebar. The list loads at /camo/ata-chapters showing all registered ATA chapters ordered by chapter number.

AeroTrack comes pre-seeded with the standard ATA 100 chapters (01–99). You can add custom chapters or sub-chapters as needed for your fleet.

2 Understand the Table

Each row represents an ATA chapter:

Chapter NoTwo-digit ATA chapter number (e.g. 05, 24, 73).
TitleStandard ATA chapter title (e.g. “Time Limits / Maintenance Checks”).
DescriptionBrief description of the systems covered by this chapter.
ATA chapters are used as dropdowns throughout AeroTrack — in task cards, AD/SB records, defect reports, and work orders. Keeping the chapter list accurate ensures consistent categorisation.
Create an ATA Chapter
3 Open the Form

Click + New ATA Chapter at the top-right of the list. The form opens at /camo/ata-chapters/new.

4 Enter Chapter Details

Complete the chapter information:

5 Submit

Click Create ATA Chapter. The chapter is added to the system and becomes available in all ATA chapter dropdowns across the application.

Chapter numbers must be unique. If you need to add sub-chapters (e.g. 73-10, 73-20), create them as separate entries with dash notation in the chapter number field.
