Alternate Parts

Define interchangeable and substitute parts. When a requested part is out of stock, the system suggests approved alternates during material issue and purchase requisition. Alternate relationships are bidirectional — if Part A is an alternate for Part B, Part B is automatically an alternate for Part A.
