Purchase Requests (Requisitions)

Raise a purchase request for parts or materials, add line items from the parts catalogue, submit for approval, and track the requisition through its workflow.

Browse Requisitions
1 Open the Requisitions List

Navigate to Procurement → Requisitions in the sidebar. The list loads at /procurement/requisitions showing all purchase requests ordered by creation date (newest first).

Each row shows the requisition number, type, priority, status, required date, total value, and the requester.

2 Filter & Search

Use the filter dropdowns at the top of the list:

Click any row to open the requisition detail page. Click + New Requisition to create a new one.

3 Open the New Requisition Form

Click + New Requisition on the list page, or navigate directly to /procurement/requisitions/new. The form opens with header fields and an empty line-items section.

4 Fill the Header Fields

Complete the requisition header:

5 Add Line Items

Search for parts using the Part Search field. As you type a part number or description, matching parts appear in a dropdown. Select a part to add it as a line item.

Click Add Item to append the line. Repeat for each part needed. The Running Total updates automatically.

You can add multiple parts to a single requisition. The running total helps verify the request stays within budget before submission.
6 Submit the Requisition

Click Create to save the requisition. It is created in Draft status. From the detail page, submit it for approval using the workflow button.

Once submitted, the requisition cannot be edited until it is returned to Draft. Make sure all line items and quantities are correct before submitting.

Requisitions follow this workflow:
